I'm a midwife and the founder of Desert Star Midwifery.

I love helping women become empowered mothers by providing education, options, and inspiration in pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Birth choices can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to do it alone. I can help you figure out what is important to you and your family, and you will be able to make confident, competent, and personalized decisions regarding pregnancy, birthing options, and parenthood decisions. 

Desert Star Midwifery was created because El Paso needs better birthing options.

A little bit more about me and my background-

I am a native El Pasoan (born and raised) who is ecstatic to be serving our borderland community through midwifery care.  My love for birth work began when I was a small child fascinated with pregnancy and birth. I officially started my midwife journey in May 2018 with a local midwifery school and finished my certification using the Peer Evaluation Portfolio Process by the North American Registry of Midwives. I became a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and Texas Licensed Midwife (LM) in August 2022. I have attended around 170 births at home and at a birth center. 

I currently hold an Associate degree in Biological Sciences, and I am finishing a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience at UTEP. ​At home, I am a proud wife to an author, a dog-mom, and nerd. I love reading books, drinking tea, and making life beautiful around me. ​Let's do birth, and life together!
